Barnsley Swimming Club is one of the countries oldest established swimming clubs and has been actively encouraging swimming in the Barnsley area since 1879. Regrettably, the clubs adult and children's swimming sessions came to an end in July 2013 as numbers dwindled.
Barnsley Swimming Club is keen to resurrect its long tradition of delivering aquatic sessions to the people of Barnsley, please register your interest on the contact page.
Barnsley Water Polo Club has been around almost as long as the Swimming club, the existing line up still includes members from the 1978 team pictured below, and although you may smirk, the team still offers quite a challange to the other teams within the 1st division of the local league (Wakefield and District Water Polo League).
